"Coca-Cola Announces New $5B Sustainable Investments in Africa", 11 Aug 2014

Coca-Cola has now announced a new investment of $5 billion in Africa over the next six years...This additional investment of $5 billion will be utilized to set up new manufacturing lines, cooling and distribution infrastructure, as well as community development projects. Coca-Cola has also committed to launch a new "Source Africa" initiative that will focus on more sustainable local ingredient sourcing for its products...The company's plans include an investment of $500 million in manufacturing facilities in Namibia over the next two years. The investment is expected to create new jobs, promote local women empowerment and provide access to safe water.
