Anti-Trafficking: What does Modern Day Slavery mean to the Private Sector? [Hong Kong, 3 Apr]

In this briefing, Matthew Friedman will talk about human trafficking and how the issue has relevance across Asia, specifically Hong Kong and how it impacts the private sector. He will discuss: what is human trafficking, who is trafficked, what are people trafficked for, where can it be found, and what can be done to stop it. He will also provide a description of how private sector companies are becoming involved in helping to respond to this problem. For the audience, the presentation will provide a small glimpse into a world seldom seen by outsiders -- a world that is all too often much closer to home than we might want to admit. [Date: Thursday, 3 Apr 2014, Time: 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm; Venue: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu - 35/F Conference Room, One Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Hong Kong] [venue sponsored by Deloitte]
