Bangladesh: Labour rights abuses & violations reported at factory supplying to Inditex & LC Waikiki, responses included from companies

Institute for Global Labour & Human Rights reported slave like conditions at Jean Plus Limited. IGLHR reported that over 1,000 workers, mostly young women, are routinely beaten and forced to toil 94 to 101 hours, seven days a week. It also alleged that pregnant women are routinely fired and thrown out of the factory without any of their legally required maternity benefits. Jeans Plus workers make Pull & Bear stretch trousers for Inditex and LC Waikiki. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Jeans Plus Ltd, Inditex & LC Waikiki to respond to the allegations.  Responses provided by Jeans Plus & Inditex.  We are continuing to follow up with LC Waikiki and will update this page with their response or an indication that they have not responded.
