Bondevik calls for halt to Burmese investments [Norway]

[Norway's] Former Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik...is asking Finance Minister Kristin Halvorsen to sell off investments by the state's so-called "oil fund" that are linked to Burma..."Even though the oil fund doesn't invest directly in Burmese companies, the fund has holdings in several companies that have business dealings with Burma," Bondevik [said]...Such companies include oil company Total in France and Korean industrial concern Daewoo. "This is all about sending the right signals to an especially brutal dictatorship," Bondevik said.
