'Break-bottle' protest against Coke, Pepsi

US beverage giants Coca-Cola and Pepsi were Thursday facing the heat of activism, following the launch of a "break bottle" campaign after a study said their soft drinks contained lethal doses of pesticides. Activists of the Samajwadi Party and the BJP were planning to smash Coke and Pepsi bottles in downtown Mumbai in a bid to force products of the two multinationals off the shelves.
