On 13 November 2013, the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, under the patronage of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, launched the report "Business and Human Rights: The Italian case" (in Italian only).  The reports is the baseline study in support of the Italian Action Plan to implement the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the presentation aimed at an informed debate on the role of the Italian goverment in promoting respect for human rights by Italian companies - wherever they operate - and foreign companies with operations in Italy.  

The report was presented by Damiano de Felice, PhD student at the London School of Economics and Affiliate Researcher at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, and commented, among others, by Lapo Pistelli, Deputy Foreign Minister, Claudio De Vincenti, Under-Secretary of Economic Development, Sergio Santoro, President of the Agency for the supervision of public contracts, Alessandro Castellano, CEO of SACE, and Francesco Palermo, member of the Senate's Commission for the protection and promotion of human rights.  The report was written by Damiano de Felice, Dr. Claudia Cinelli and Chiara Macchi, under the scientific supervision of Prof. Andrea de Guttry.
