Call for paper proposals: Business & human rights conference (Seville, 20-21 Oct | proposals due 5 May)

The Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies (University of Leuven), the University of Seville and the BHRight Initiative are pleased to announce a call for papers for an International Conference on Business and Human Rights on 20 and 21 October 2016 in Seville (Spain). This international conference will explore the different ways in which the governance gap between global businesses and the protection of human rights can be addressed. The aim of this conference is to bring together scholars from different disciplines to identify and examine a wide range of issues that arise in the application and conceptualization of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).Proposals for papers (abstracts) should not exceed 500 words (excluding affiliation and contact details). The deadline for proposal submission is the 5th May 2016.
