Chile: MiningWatch report questions legitimacy of memorandum between Barrick Gold & Diaguita indigenous communities

MiningWatch Canada interviewed community members and leaders of the Diaguita indigenous people in northern Chile on the proposed mining project that Barrick Gold is to implement in Huasco Valley.   Locals allege that the project will risk their water supplies and that the process of consultation was not transparent.  Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Barrick Gold to respond.  The response is provided
