Coke to fund Chennai lake revival in water recharge effort [India]

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB) has launched a project to rejuvenate the 1,000-acre Nemam Lake in Tiruvallur district, near Chennai...The company and the Tamil Nadu Government are jointly funding the lake's revival...NGO Siruthuli will execute the project...Mr T. Krishnakumar, CEO, HCCB, said that in addition to ensuring sustainable agriculture for the villagers, the project would help the company reach its goals of replenishing the amount of water it used in its operations.
