Companies fined in Queen Mary 2 accident [France]

A French court on Monday ordered two construction companies to pay $13.8 million in damages for their roles in a deadly shipyard accident on the world's largest ocean liner, the Queen Mary 2...The court in Saint-Nazaire found the company that built the ocean liner, Chantiers de l'Atlantique [formerly part of Alstom], and the company that built the walkway, Endel [part of Suez], guilty of manslaughter and involuntary injuries.
