The recent incident at Yamfo in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana in which representatives of the NGOs, WACAM and Oxfam, were arrested is regrettable and of concern to Newmont. It appears that the event may have been caused by misunderstanding and a lack of communication. Newmont Ghana is committed to open and transparent processes and to supporting the human rights of the communities in which we operate...
