G4S response re openDemocracy article on alleged deaths and other abuse at facilities operated by G4S

We are not going to provide a point by point rebuttal to the various issues and incidents referred to in her article. However, we would like to make it clear that each of the incidents she refers to have been fully investigated by the relevant authorities and G4S itself. In only one of the cases mentioned was wrong doing found to have occurred and the employee identified was dismissed and legal process started...Those within our Care & Justice division, who work on UK Government contracts, undertake extensive Government approved training both initially and on an ongoing basis...We aim for the highest quality of delivery, standards and care but are aware that, in the highly complex and sensitive environments in which we operate, things can go wrong.
