Legal issues: Burden on companies grows [UK]

The past few years in the UK have seen the introduction of bills on a national minimum wage, disability discrimination, employment relations, and pensions, along with changes to maternity and paternity rights. Added to this has been a stream of European regulations, including laws banning discrimination on the grounds of religion, "belief", or sexual-orientation in 2003...But despite a number of high profile anti-discrimination cases, the new laws have led to a trickle rather than a deluge of claims.
