Liberia: Community accuses mining company of "lying", causing deteriorating social conditions; Aureus denies claims

'They lied to us: Kinjol accuses mining firm of failing terms', 19 Aug 2015: The people of Kinjol and…surrounding…mining [towns]…accuse…[Aureus] of not living up to the[ir] agreement… Memam Selma-Vah, a mother of three…said the company promised to build…new homes, [a] clinic and hand pumps but…“We don’t have toilet…drinking water…school…no hospital. We used to have water but since the company…built us this new camp, we have to travel fifteen minutes to get water...[t]he company did not give us a dime as relocation benefit.
