Nigeria: Focus on environmental remediation in oil region

To help deal with the huge environmental damage caused by oil spills, Shell (the biggest operator in Nigeria which has most of its operations onshore and is, therefore, responsible for most of the spills) has evolved a scheme whereby communities are involved in the remediation efforts.
