Olympic protestors target Coke shareholders

Human rights groups have launched a global campaign targeting corporate sponsors of the Beijing Olympics, urging them to pressure Chinese leaders into ending abuses... Amnesty wants Coca Cola and other sponsors to exert pressure on the International Olympic Committee and the Chinese to abolish labor camps where prisoners are kept without trial or being charged. [Coca-Cola chairman and chief executive Neville Isdell] responded that such a committee would "create nothing and add overlap" to an existing committee. Lucy Morillon, the Washington representative of Reporters Without Borders,...told AFP earlier that the organization was "...also going to go to the shareholders meetings of McDonald's, Adidas and other sponsors."
