[PDF] A Study of Sustainability Reporting in China - A Journey to Discover Values

By adopting the SustainAbility methodology, we found the Chinese sustainability reports do relatively well in terms of their presentation of performance, governance, and strategy. Yet at the same time, we found that Chinese sustainability reports are not strong in management indicators, nor did they do well in the areas of accessibility of information and assurance. Other findings include that heavily polluting enterprises perform better than moderately polluting enterprises, and that B2B enterprises do better on average than B2C enterprises.
