These are the findings of an international Fact Finding Mission to observe the trials of Ferhat Kaya in September 2004...Mr. Kaya, a shopkeeper and the Chair of the pro-Kurdish Democratic people’s Party...in the Central District of Ardahan in North-East Turkey is at the forefront of a local campaign to highlight the social and environmental impacts of BP’s Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline, which passes through Ardahan Province.
