Toxins high in cola sludge [India]

The state pollution control board has detected lead and cadmium in the sludge samples collected from Pepsi and Coca Cola units in Kolkata, Jalpaiguri, Hooghly and South 24-Parganas, environment minister Mr Manab Mukherjee said today. “We’ll write to both companies seeking an explanation within 10 days,” he said.
