We get Starberks to turn taps off

The Sun...[has] forced coffee giant Starbucks to stop pouring precious water away. Our exposure yesterday of the firm’s crackpot policy of keeping taps running continually at its shops sparked outrage and headlines worldwide... [Green] campaigners and hygiene inspectors slammed the company, which finally agreed to turn off the taps after crisis meetings yesterday. A spokeswoman said: “We are working as a priority on alternative solutions. We recognize the opportunity exists to reduce our water usage.”... Starbucks ordered staff to keep the taps running yesterday while experts advise them on an alternative system.
