Integrating homeworkers in responsible supply chains: a path to inclusive human rights due diligence - Arisa

Arisa is inviting you to two informative and interactive webinars on working conditions in international garment supply chains in the National Capital Region (NCR) in India.

It is common practice for export garment and textile factories in NCR to outsource work to homeworkers. Homeworkers are an integral part of the garment and textile production process, adding value and contributing significantly to the industry.

This webinar will highlight the situation of homeworkers in the garment and textile industry, including recently gained information and experiences of homeworkers engaged in a range of activities, including cutting and slicing, button making, and skilled work such as embroidery. It will look into possibilities of resolving grievances for this mostly informal group of workers, and share ideas on what companies can do to decently include homeworkers in supply chains, such as adopting an inclusive homeworking policy and how to start a dialogue on homeworking with your supplier. There will be room for discussion and Q&A.

Join our webinar to take the next step in recognising homeworking in garment and textile supply chains in NCR.

Peter Williams – Policy Lead at Homeworkers Worldwide

Kratika Choubey – Manager Business & Human Rights at Transform Trade

Shyam Aggarwal – General Manager Operations at Radiaant Expovision

Moderated by Sandra Claassen, Director at Arisa
