Myanmar: Garment workers report multiple abuses at factory incl. mandatory overtime, child labour & verbal abuse; incl. co. responses

In June 2024, it was reported that workers at He MeT factory are facing a series of violations, including mandatory overtime on Sundays without paying overtime pay, day labourers hired on lower wages than permanent staff, child labourers hired in the factory and hidden when inspectors come, excessive production targets, verbal abuse, pregnant workers forced to resign, denial of social security benefits incl. medical leave and workers facing wage cuts when they take leave, and unclean restrooms.

In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Takko (for pageone and ever.me brands) and MO to respond. Takko's response can be found below. MO did not respond.
