Eni response to reports of strikes at Tunisian oil fields
As stated in its Code of Ethics, Eni respects the laws of the countries in which it operates and adheres to the international principles of protection of workers' rights and human rights. Eni has been present in Tunisia since the 1960s and has always complied with all trade union agreements in place and guarantees to its workers the highest standards of treatment, remuneration and social protection on the market.
The strikes initially announced for 3 days were suspended after 1 day.
Trade union claims in Tunisia are the subject of frequent and continuous negotiations.
