Group-2 Security re allegations of fee-charging, misuse of visit visas & unpaid work

Towards the end of the month of May-21, my company faced a shortage of guards at some of our newly taken-over sites. During such shortages, we follow the custom of contacting companies for sub-contracting guards due to its quick availability. One of our supervisors had introduced Mr. Sultan who was apparently representing a local guard supply company...

We were informed by Mr. Sultan that the guards were having valid visas and SIRA cards. (Kindly Find the attached.)

According to our agreement with Mr. Sultan on behalf of his company, AED 3200[2500(per month agreed)/30(days in a month) x 40(no. of days worked) - 100(deduction for advance paid for accommodation expenses] is payable to his company (Baab al Dahabi Security Services). This payment was collected by Mr. Sultan on 16/06/2021 from my accounts department. ( Kindly find the attached payment voucher).

We had to remove the guards later on as our Sub Contracting company(Baab al Dahabi Security Services) was not following up for the 6 guards' pending visa processes after the e-visa and there was no response from Mr. Sultan or the company officials regarding their documents. We had provided accommodation for the guards even while they were not currently working with us, we waited for Sultan to come to collect the guards.

We do not condone any such activities involving employing laborers on visit visas and not providing pay, we can assure you that GROUP2 does not allow such practices and our clients do not accept any guards who are not on our visa(unless on a temporary basis). We do not ask the laborers to pay for their visa expenses as it is illegal according to the Labor laws of UAE.
