S. Korea: Coupang commits to social dialogue on night labour and workers' health issues

“Coupang to participate in ‘social dialogue’ on night labour regulations,” 21 November 2024

At a meeting with Coupang’s executive team and the Democratic Party of Korea’s Euljiro Committee on the 21st, Coupang CEO Kang Han-seung stated, “We are open to and will engage in dialogue to resolve the issue.” …This remark was made in response to concerns that Coupang’s delivery system, which combines late-night work and job insecurity, negatively impacts workers’ right to health.

…Coupang CLS announced its decision to expedite support for the family of Jeong Seul-gi, a worker from the Namyangju 2 Camp’s Good Logistics agency, who passed away at home in May after working on assignments received from the agency.
