Welcome to our Chinese Responsible Investment Overseas Newsletter. This newsletter serves as a platform for updates, insights and tools on key topics relating to the social and environmental impacts of Chinese overseas investments and business, as well as a resource to promote peer learning and informed decision-making.

You can view previous issues here and subscribe to future newsletters here. If you would like to suggest materials for future issues and our website, please contact us at [email protected].

We would like to thank Center For International Private Enterprise (CIPE) for contributing a guest blog, which introduces the BRI Monitor, a collaborative effort by five civil society organisations in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The BRI Monitor website hosts descriptive case studies and a transparency heatmap of selective Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects, acting as a handy tool for practitioners and advocates to promote transparency and accountability in major infrastructure projects funded through China’s BRI in the region.
