Myanmar: Garment workers unable to take breaks in order to meet excessive production targets; incl. co. responses
In November 2023, it was reported that workers at Nexstar Garment faced a series of violations, including excessive production targets with workers not taking breaks to go to the toilet or drink water to meet targets, workers who were unable to arrive to work from the public holiday on time being forced to quit and re-join the factory, or quit, and workers being forced to quit if they can't move to the relocated factory.
In January 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Tendam (for its Women'Secret brand) and OTTO (for Bon Prix brand John Baner) to respond. Responses can be found below.
