UN Intergovernmental Working Group elaborating a legally binding instrument on business & human rights

The 9th session of the UN open-ended intergovernmental working group on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights (IGWG) to discuss the binding treaty took place on 23-27 October 2023 at the UN in Geneva.

The 2023 updated draft of the legally binding instrument served as the basis for the discussions at the IGWG meeting. For this Updated Draft, the Chair took into account the following:
