In relation to the Georgia: 280 MW Nenskra Hydropower Plant project, it is AIIB’s intention to use the EBRD’s 2014 Environmental and Social Policy (ESP) and Performance Requirements (PRs) since (i) they are consistent with AIIB’s Articles of Agreement and materially consistent with the provisions of AIIB’s Environmental and Social Framework; and (ii) the monitoring procedures that the EBRD has in place to ascertain compliance with the ESP and PRs are appropriate for the project.
