Cambodia: 157 Cambodians working in Thailand test positive of COVID-19 as numbers of victims contracted the virus spike

"157 Cambodian workers test positive for COVID-19 in Thailand", 11 January 2021

The Thai Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Disease Control has reported on its website that 157 Cambodians working in Thailand have tested positive for COVID-19.

It said that other nationalities who tested positive for the virus included 1,219 Myanmar, 86 Indians, 6,620 Thais and 1,397 others. The report did not specify whether the 157 infected Cambodians were migrant workers.

Due to a concern of COVID-19 outbreak from Thailand, Cambodian government recently sent troops to the border to prevent illegal crossings and ensured all returning Cambodian migrant workers undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine...
