DAF response

DAF immediately stopped the delivery of trucks, parts, and services to Russia when European and American sanctions were announced at the beginning of 2022. DAF has obligated its dealers to do the same.

Parallel import can unfortunately never be completely prevented, for example, when parts go from dealer to customer to intermediary to trader and further. We have contractually stipulated with the DAF dealers that they are not allowed to (re)sell our trucks and parts to sanctioned countries or sanctioned parties. Therefore, dealers must know their customers. They will have to recognize unusual orders and investigate new customers ('due diligence'), just as DAF does itself. If DAF dealers do not comply with the rules regarding deliveries to sanctioned countries, we will, of course, take action against them.
