[DOC] Response to Eastman Kodak from Political Economy Research Institute [USA]
The US Environmental Protection Agency's Risk Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) database is a peer-reviewed, state-of-the-art method for assessing the chronic human health risk posed by industrial toxic releases... TRI [Toxic Release Inventory] data are now available through 2004... Kodak's decrease in Hazard [a related score] from 2002, the most recent year of RSEI data available, to 2004, the most recent year of TRI data available, is approximately 14 percent. A decrease of 14 percent in Kodak's Toxic Score would still place Eastman Kodak among the Top 10 on the current Toxic 100. Greater emission reductions would be needed to drop Kodak from the top 10 of the Toxic 100.
