The Bajau people ... are spread across several islands in Indonesia, one of which is on a small island called Kabaena, located in Southeast Sulawesi.

However, their lives are now being disrupted by the nickel industry....

Skin diseases are emerging, food sources from the sea are becoming scarce, the air is polluted, and the economy is increasingly difficult for the Bajau people.
