Masdar disclosure re renewable energy baseline assessment
Masdar remains deeply committed to safeguarding the rights and wellbeing of all individuals, including migrant workers employed at our Projects across the Gulf region. This is both a legal and ethical obligation, and a reflection of our values, as we rely on our workforce to deliver world-class, innovative projects, time and again.
We acknowledge the findings of the recent policy assessment and emphasize that while not all information regarding Masdar’s practices is publicly available online, relevant risk mitigation measures are fully embedded within our contracts, policies, and operational standards. These measures ensure that human rights and labor practices are upheld, providing fair, dignified, and safe working conditions across our renewable energy projects.
To ensure alignment with both National Law and Best International Industry Practices, all our projects adhere to the IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability, along with associated frameworks such as relevant ILO Core Labour Standards and UN Guidelines and Principles. Our Project HSSE (Health, Safety, Social and Environmental) Management System streamlines these requirements through several key policies and plans...
As part of our broader commitment to sustainable development, we will continue to prioritize transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement to meet the expectations of our employees, partners, and global stakeholders.
