Myanmar: Garment workers denied toilet breaks & water to meet excessive production targets; incl. co. responses

In February 2024, it was reported that workers at Kseng (Myanmar) Apparel were facing a series of violations, including workers forced to go without toilet breaks or drinking water to meet excessive production targets, denial of leave for those with ill health, the Worker Coordination Committee acting according to the will of the employers, lack of meals provided for workers working and sleeping overnight at the factory, and workers' not allowed to use their phones during work.

In August 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited New Wave Group (for its brand Clique), Matalan, Tendam (for its brand Springfield), New Yorker (for its brand FBSister) and Orsay to respond. Responses can be found below.
