"The case a security illegally dismissed is being negotiated after the worker reported", 25 May 2024
The security worker who worked at GTIG Guohua Glory Garment factory...filed a report and the case is being addressed.
“...The trade union, employer and the brand are negotiating but [have] not reached...an exact solution...the overtime... to be calculated by the backdate [is] still being negotiated,” said a person who is helping the worker.
The security worker started working at the factory [on] 9th May, 2022...and was dismissed without any mistake committed[,] on the grounds that a new employer will be replaced.
The worker said he didn’t receive 4 hours of overtime while he worked there and [was] hired as a day employer [for] 2 years without an EC contract [and] therefore contacted Solidarity of Trade Unions, Myanmar - STUM with four points: 1. Illegal dismiss[al], 2. Not getting paid for 4 hours of overtime per day, 3. Hired as a day employer until 2 years and 4. The factory failed to make EC contract.
The employer, employee and brand[s] are negotiating...those 4 requests.
