The document, delivered during the holiday season, gave communities only weeks to respond, prompting organizations to request its annulment. Leaders criticized the lack of consultation, citing ongoing concerns over social and environmental impacts.

The Business and Human Rights Resource Centre invited Minerals and Metals Group to comment on this allegations. The company did not respond.
