Primark's response

16 July 2021

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and wellbeing of everyone who makes our products and our code of conduct outlines our commitment to their rights and freedoms. We are committed to supporting our suppliers and their factories, and in turn, protecting the livelihoods of the people working in those factories. After careful consideration we have taken the decision to resume orders in Myanmar after pausing them at the height of the unrest. We continue to keep this decision under review and are monitoring the situation very closely - remaining in regular contact with our suppliers and following the latest advice of the UK Government and third-party experts.
