Response from Eni to Oxfam's open letter

"Eni considers transparency a corporate value which guides our business practices, whether it is in our relationships with consumers, authorities, institutions or other stakeholders, as is evidenced in our Code of Ethics. In line with this commitment, discloses the “Country-by-Country Report”, publishes its Guidelines in the Tax Field (Tax strategy) and actively participates as a supporting company to the voluntary multistakeholder initiative of EITI, supporting its efforts in promoting an open and accountable management of natural resources.

In line with its participation to EITI, Eni has also expressed its position in favor of contractual disclosure by governments and its support for the initiatives that will be adopted in this regard by the countries where it operates.

Regarding the possible review of the EITI Company Expectations and the issue of adherence to them, an internal discussion is presently ongoing within EITI, according to its established procedures and governance rules. Eni is therefore following the discussion and considers appropriate awaiting for the conclusion of the process. ..."
