In May 2023, the State Labor Inspectorate in the Sverdlovsk Region brought the legal entity JSC Sevuralboksitruda to administrative liability under Part 1 of Art. 5.27.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 50,000 rubles, 29 November 2023
The company received this type of punishment due to failure to take the necessary measures to organize and ensure a proper and timely investigation of the accident that occurred with an employee of JSC Sevuralboxytruda in April 2023.
The administrative fine was not paid within the period established by law, and therefore, in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 28.8, art. 23.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the material was sent to the Magistrate’s Court of Severouralsk.
The magistrate of judicial district No. 2 of the Severouralsky judicial district of the Sverdlovsk region issued a resolution under Part 1 of Art. 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation in relation to JSC “Sevuralboxytruda” and the amount of the fine was already 100,000 rubles. The period for voluntary payment of the fine is 60 days. Failure to pay the fine within the specified period entails imposition of a fine equal to twice the amount of the unpaid administrative fine or administrative arrest for a period of 15 days, compulsory work for a period of up to 50 hours.
