Ternium second response on the disappearance of two defenders after meeting with company

"In view of the events of public knowledge that occurred in the community of Aquila, we inform that:

Ternium expresses its solidarity with the families of those affected and with the community of Aquila, of which it forms part, and hopes for the prompt clarification of these events.

Ternium is against any kind of violence and categorically rejects any speculation and/or defamation that attempts to link it with any kind of illegal activity.

At Ternium, we operate at all times within the framework of the law and with a broad sense of social responsibility in all our activities.

In the municipality of Aquila, Michoacán, our mining operation has all the permits required by the relevant authorities and in accordance with agreements reached with the community of San Miguel de Aquila more than ten years ago, which have been complied with in a timely manner.

Ternium is a leading public company in steel manufacturing in Latin America, which operates transparently and under the highest standards of control in all its operations.
