Vivalsa response

In response to your request, we are sending a link to a local newspaper article in which we briefly explained the situation.
We note that the journalists who conducted the investigation, through haste or carelessness, incorrectly interpreted and presented the information provided by UAB Vivalsa director Saulius Girčys, thus causing huge reputational damage to our company.

The thoughts expressed by Saulius Girčys in the conversation with the journalist covered the general situation of the import of wood pellets to Lithuania and cannot be linked to the specific activities of UAB Vivalsa. If you pay attention, the journalist's question was asked about another person, - transports. The answer was also about another person. And it was presented as if Saulius Girchys was talking about the activities of his company.

In the photo of the label provided by the journalists, the sender of the pellets - ARGO KG and the recipient - IMEDUS are clearly indicated. The wood pellets recorded in the journalistic investigation were purchased by UAB Vivalsa in Lithuania, from a Lithuanian company and have nothing to do with their import.

UAB Vivalsa does not import wood pellets directly from third countries. The company buys pellets directly from Lithuanian and Ukrainian producers or from other EU sellers. All pellets from Kyrgyzstan were purchased from a Polish company under DAP conditions, i.e. with local delivery. The Polish company itself was responsible for the purchase of goods, customs clearance and transportation to the UAB Vivalsa warehouse. The last purchase from this company was on 19/09/2022, the last shipment was delivered on 25/10/2022.

At that time, this journalistic investigation had not even begun.

We can document all of our claims. Data on payments made by UAB Vivalsa, import procedures and received cargo are recorded in state institutions. However, the journalists did not apply for the submission of any data and relied only on secretly filmed, photographed and audio material, thus potentially violating the data protection law. Saulius Girchys was not informed in any way about the fact that he was being filmed, photographed or recorded, even though he is not a public figure.

UAB Vivalsa has not been questioned by any state institutions so far, and no investigation has been initiated against it.

Therefore, we ask you not to develop or, if possible, challenge previously published journalistic material, as it does not correspond to reality.
