WE Fashion's response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories - October 2024 Update

[...]

During the assessment at New Talent issues has been identified, which has led to a comprehensive improvement plan and conducted by the expert team of SMART. The findings have been discussed with the management of New Talent. MADE provides the factory with specific and relevant training sessions to support them with implementing the needed remediation steps and track progress. For example, the MADE team has reported an issue with clean drinking water which the New Talent team has improved since the last check. As we take human rights violations very serious, we will keep monitoring the situation in the factory regarding other remaining issues and the MADE team will conduct a new assessment soon to identify the current situation and to measure any progress.

Due to the current situation in the country this process is equal for all our Myanmar suppliers. We trust our suppliers to collaborate on this process. If in truth we sadly have to conclude this collaboration is not mutual we will initiate our responsible exit process.
