Canadian mining company Tahoe Resources could be investigated for not disclosing lawsuit it brought seeking to prevent referendum in Guatemala

Tahoe Resources, a Canadian mining company, could be investigated for filing a lawsuit to prevent a referendum on a mine it was operating in Guatemala. The Guatemalan Constitutional Court rejected the suit, and the referendum rejected the mine. The US Securities and Exchange Commission have been asked by a Toronto legal aid group to research about the failure to disclosure the lawsuit by the firm.
