The Case Map, a joint project with Liberty Asia, displays the geographic spread of key business and human rights lawsuits, including some cases we have profiled, as well as selected complaints under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. It provides summaries of the proceedings, along with information on the countries and issues involved, legislation used and dates. You can filter search results by these criteria, allowing you to tailor your search.
How to use the map
Dots appear where alleged abuses occurred, country of victim(s) origins, where companies are based or registered, and for courts where lawsuits are brought.
Select individual cases, or filter by legislation used, abuses alleged (“Case Involving”), and cases’ start dates on right menu.
Search by city or country (click the magnifying glass), or zoom with tools at top left. Click ▶ to allow the cursor to pan, zoom, or select an area.
Undo a search, reset the map, share or download it, with buttons at bottom (you may need to scroll down).
