G4 Industries company response re allegations of negative impacts in Kenya

G4 Industries have never had any operations in the Tana Delta area. We undertook a detailed social & environmental impact study…relating to an area of land in the Tana Delta and also worked closely with the local community in Oda village to determine the viability of bringing a socially and environmentally sound project to the Tana area. We worked closely with the Danish Government on this project who undertook an independent verification of our EIS and we gained full approval from the Kenyan National Environmental Management Agency…Our CSR package included the building of a school, provision of clean drinking water to the villages…and a medical centre. Our farming approach was supported by the UN which included conservation agriculture and integrated pest control and a largely rain fed approach…This type of article…forces away organisations with a strong social responsibility and encourages organisations that don’t care…[Y]ou can rest assured that G4 Industries have not and will not displace families at any of its operations around the world.
