Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi has welcomed the government's decision to ratify two fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to address concerns related to child labour.  He has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Labour and Employment for the...historic reform... The Cabinet last week approved ratification of ILO convention 138--Minimum Age Convention which concerns minimum age for admission to employment and Convention 182--Worst Form of Child Labour Convention which concerns prohibition and immediate action for elimination of the worst form of child labour.
