Affaire des déchets toxiques : une transaction au détriment de la justice et de la réparation pour les victimes [Côte d’Ivoire]

La FIDH et ses organisations membres en Côte d’Ivoire, la LIDHO et le MIDH, dénoncent fermement le protocole d’accord signé le 13 février 2007 par l’Etat de Côte d’Ivoire et la société Trafigura, affréteur du navire Probo Koala qui a déversé plus de 520 m3 de déchets toxiques à Abidjan en août 2006. Renonçant définitivement à toute poursuite réciproque et niant leurs responsabilités respectives, les parties signataires, par cet accord, aggravent le climat d’impunité qui règne dans cette affaire.
