Argos & Goldsmiths are missing links

CAFOD is urging its supporters to take action now against Argos (part of Home Retail Group) and Goldsmiths as they are falling behind other jewellers in their response to the Unearth Justice campaign. The campaign, to reduce the harm caused by gold mining, has received the backing of other jewellers Beaverbrooks, F.Hinds and Fraser Hart, who have signed up to the 12 "Golden Rules" promising to clean up the gold industry. However, despite one year of campaigning, the companies Argos and Goldsmiths are still yet to sign up. [Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Argos and Goldsmiths to respond to the allegations. Argos response can be found below; Goldsmiths declined to respond]
