Australia: Perfection Fresh to face largest sexual harassment claim from Ni-Vanuatu & Australian women suing for nearly AUS$4m

A group of ni-Vanuatu women on seasonal worker visas and Australian women are suing tomato grower Perfection Fresh over allegations of sexual abuse in the workplace. The women say two en made repeated unwanted sexual advances towards them which constituted repeated harassment.

The workers have told media the company ifnored and dsicouraged their complaints, while they were scared to speak up about the harassment. Delegates from the United Workers Union informed them of their rights and empowered them to describe the alleged abuse. The union is supporting the women in their compensation and damages claim.
